Our Hedgehog, Tommy. Still Alive

In case anyone is wondering if we still have our pet hedgehog, whom the kids named after their Uncle Tom ( my redneck brother in Idaho), we call him Tommy. I have no idea why they named him after my brother, I was just relieved they didn't call him "pet" or "hedgehog". I took these photos a few weeks ago. The night before I left for DC last month, I decided his cage smelled too bad to leave for a few days. So, before bed the kids and I changed his cage and bathed him. He has some issues with his bowels.. he poops anytime you take him out. We keep hoping it will get better.. and it is, maybe. I have an issue with loading on a bunch of last minute tasks when I'm about to leave town. Its a nesting thing, in a really screwed up way.

The kids want to celebrate Tommy's birthday... I have no idea when that is. I'm not bringing it up.

I'm sorry Ashley, I've never heard of anyone having a pet hedgehog. You guys are way too silly!

You are brave just for having a pet. Is it bad that I am pet-a-phobic? Will my children ever turn out normal never having the responsibility of caring for a pet?! I love your blog...you are a great source of many laughs. :)

How long have you had a hedgehog? I'll be honest Ashley, I can't picture you having a pet! It's been awhile, so I'm reading through your blog. We miss you guys!

Yeah, Tommy is still alive!! I still smile when I think about your original post describing the process of getting him home. Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
