There has been much discussion at our house about the middle finger. Grant was innocently using his middle finger for something and Grace noticed and flipped out. She ran screaming from the room like her eyes were going to burn out of her head if she looked.
We then had a long discussion about using your middle finger. Grace thought that the world was going to end basically if someone used their middle finger. We had a long discussion about INTENT! I think we're all getting the message now. Grace has come back to Earth... however, Grant has figured that he might have some leverage.
He has asked me again about using his middle finger ( I again explained intent). Today he also asked if it was bad to use your MIDDLE TOE. ( Good luck with that one buddy!)
Then, last night, he didn't want to say his prayer at night and he told Ryan he would show him his middle finger if he didn't do it for him. ( How did he NOT get the message)
Meanwhile, our rule based child ( Grace) would NEVER DREAM of using her finger. AND... the other child seems obsessed with the idea...
