I had my post op check up with the doctor today. All is well, and I'm thrilled to get the bandages off! Ryan will probably die that I post this, but its too funny, or will be at some point. For recovery, I have to wear a sports bra for awhile that zips or closes in the front ( these are hard to find). At the check up today, I needed to bring one to wear. I grabbed one and we were on our way. I'm feeling really nauseous today, so the car ride was not that fun. Ryan was taking a phone call, looking over horrified to see if I actually puked in the background of his phone conference... but I didn't. I'm sure he was ready to hit mute as quickly as possible.
In the Dr Office, it was a challenge to get the sports bra put on, and we made our way through the pharmacy and check out. I was even more nauseous at this point. I had to sit down several times and was so glad that the Dr had prescribed some nausea meds. We got the meds, and were on our way out into afternoon traffic. By the time we picked up the kids, and got home again, I was in some serious pain. I told Ryan we had to go out and try to find a different sports bra to see if I could feel any better. As he was getting dinner for them, I checked upstairs and was absolutely thrilled to find that I had purchased another sports bra that was a different variety. As he helped me change, I immediately felt better. YEAH!!!! because I thought I was going to puke my guts out tonight. Then, we looked at the tags of the other sports bra I brought to the Dr office. It was a "compression" sports bra- I had not paid any attention when I was shopping prior to surgery. Needless to say, this was not the type I needed. It was like wearing a tourniquette. I'm feeling much better tonight.. but then again Percocet always makes you feel better. I can BREATHE.....
